My First Post

This is my first blog post so I want to introduce myself. My name is Meagan and I am a single mom artisan. Everything in my life is a creation and my daughter loves to create right along side of me. I am not the type of person to sit and do nothing, even when watching tv or a movie, so people always see me with something in my hands. My art is a wide range of styles from drawing to crocheting to knitting to sewing to soap making to anything that gets my creative passions flowing and inspiring others to love the beauty of life.

What you will find on my blog is many different things. I will be offering tutorials and free patterns, updating the progress of different things I am creating (including the creation of my garden which is a big deal for a black thumb like me!), showcasing other creative people and handmade shops and different things I love in my life. I want you, my readers to enjoy my quirky humor about being an artisan along with getting to take something away from my posts and inspire you to go and be creative!

As a single mom, I am asked how I have time to create all the things that I do along with taking care of a rambunctious, on the go and gives me a run for my money 6 year old little (who thinks she is a teen) girl. I am able to be creative because I include her in my creations whether it is dinner (Lily is a self-proclaimed vegetarian who would never eat animal with the exception of breakfast meats, pepperoni on pizza only! and McDonald's chicken nuggets), soaping, photographing my creations to put on my website or anything else. She always feels like she has a hand in helping me and this teaches her how she can be creative too!

I wish that I had the time to blog everyday but life always gets in the way and I wouldn't be able to keep up with that schedule. Sooooo..... here is my plan: You will be able to read my awesome posts every other day! I will have special days like Kids Sunday where you will find creative things to do with your kids, Freebie Fridays where you will find a free pattern, tutorial or recipe (all of these will include pictures since I know how I can only create things when I see what I am supposed to be doing and what it is supposed to look like), and Inspirational Wednesday to inspire you to do more with your life and bring positivity into your day.

Well I hope you enjoyed my first post and I look forward to seeing you all on Freebie Friday!
